Today’s song and video feature my good friend Whitney Myer. Fun story! I had food poisoning the day we filmed this. I was feeling pretty awful, but we still managed to knock out a great take of the song 😮‍💨.

The Story Behind ‘Somebody Like You’:
Today’s song is all about the woman I love – my girlfriend, Sarita. She inspires me in many ways, and I’ve written plenty of songs about her, including this one. Many times when I’m feeling bummed out, or my thoughts get the better of me, something that always pops in my head and cheers me up...is her.

Sometimes just knowing that someone so amazing (she is), loves you, is all you need to help come to your senses. I’ve also included a cool visual I made with Sarita (who is an amazing dancer) back when I first demoed the song with Stan. It’s cool to see this visual and hear the original track idea before we turned it into the album version you hear today.
